A bit of history

DARCY DOYLE
1932-2001

%%d'Arcy Doyle is a much loved Australian painter, an iconic artist who self-taught to paint, hence his remarkable style.

The paintings of d'Arcy Doyle are strongly inspired by the Australian outback and life in the country, especially in the post-war times. He painted children playing, horses running free and horses pulling carts. He painted the life in the rural areas, when children use to go to school riding a horse and not wearing shoes.

d'Arcy Doyle was a prolific artist and produced many different paintings. He was very successful and sold lots of his art.
