Craving Korean? The owners of Madang present Danjee (Korean for clay jars or container) hidden down a small alleyway near the George Street cinemas at Albion Place. Not your typical barbeque place filled with fumes, this restaurant has separate seating areas and feels a bit more upscale. The menu offers everything from marinated barbeque items served with fresh leaves to cold noodles (naeng myun) to salads to fire chicken to soups, as well as an extensive drinks list including soju and plum wine.
Bul go gi (soy marinated beef) served with fresh leaves
You'll be served a whole bunch of side dishes (panchan) including kimchi, broccoli and radish strips. Unlimited refill! These go nicely with barbeque mains including beef, pork, chicken, octopus (you name it!) that are also served with fresh leaves.
The cold noodles are really good. Made of potato starch, this dish is super refreshing and served with egg, radish in beef broth which can be spicy to your liking. You'll need to cut them up with scissors before serving.
