School's out! What to do with the kiddos? Looking for a convenient destination with special features, sure to both entertain and educate? s is the place.



Daniel Stowe's innovative and interactive children's garden is a delight! Children of all ages will find imaginative ways to interact with the garden's many features. Pretend to be a king or a queen ruling over the domain. Imagine a playhouse all your own, overlooking acres of room to roam. Climb, race, hide and seek. You'll be thrilled to see your youngsters immersed in fresh air and joyful noise.



Encourage the little ones to engage with the water features, racing in and out of the rainfall overhead. Notice the art among the many streams and fountains. What a way to stay cool and burn energy at the same time! Meanwhile, parents can oversee the action from strategically placed seating.



Seek out statuary pertaining to kids throughout the gardens. Have the youngsters find whimsical art, created just for them. Take photos and make a list to keep those memories and share with friends and family.



Learn about nature! s is a perfect place to learn about plant and animal life in the region. The gardens are situated on migration paths for many species of birds and butterflies. Visit the butterfly garden where staff will show and tell them all about it.



Drop in to visit and view the orchids. Young and old alike are mesmerized by the unique beauty of the many varieties of orchids that Daniel Stowe Botanical gardens collects and propagates.



Visit the Prairie


The gardens are home to a vast prairie environment that offers lots of room to run, interesting spots to explore, and a trail leading all the way to the water's edge.



Time for some shade? Take your pick between two trails with access to the water. Seven Oaks Trail and Persimmon Trail are both quite rustic, so make sure to bring your walking shoes. There is a seating area along the water where you can drink in the beauty of nature and catch your breath.
