There's nothing better in the hotter months than heading off to a market to barter your way to bargain nirvana. We're spoilt with choice in Melbourne for markets, though one that is amazing for everything from fresh produce to techno gadgets but slightly neglected due it's location, is the .

Located just off Princess Hwy, within the South East suburb of Dandenong you will find one of Melbourne's oldest and largest markets. Boasting a HUGE array of bargain products from clothing, footwear, jewelers, fresh produce, fruit and veg and of course areas to have coffee and snacks, Dandenong market is a true sensory delight.

There's a strong multicultural theme running through the stalls so the diversity of products is fantastic (not stall after stall of long socks and sunglasses), and the personalities you come across make spending a few hours here an absolute pleasure.

Pop in and pick up some exotic Indian spices, fresh fish caught that morning or simply to get lost amongst the chaos for a while, for whatever reason you choose, you're sure to walk away smiling.
