Hidden away in the lush forest of Springbrook, on the doorstep of the National Park, is a little gem of a cafe. Quaint, pretty, welcoming and unique, Dancing Waters Cafe prides itself on its delicious food with an emphasis on natural quality ingredients.

Dancing Waters Cafe in Springbrook
What makes this place so special is a combination of key factors. Firstly, it is stunningly located right next door to the gorgeous rainforest trail: Purling Brook Falls circuit. Secondly, the cafe has a lovely warm ambience and the choice of inside seating by the fireplace, or outside tables overlooking the forest.
Having enjoyed lunch and afternoon tea there on a number of occasions, I can personally vouch for the food. Last month, I sat outside on the balcony overlooking the forest, watching the birds and feasting on the tasty Cascade Chicken Toastie. It was fantastic, and the best most original chicken toasted sandwich I've ever had in my life, by a country mile.

This month, a friend and I wandered into the cafe cold and tired from a morning hike. Minutes later, we were comfortably seated on handmade wooden chairs by a blazing fireplace sipping on fancy hot chocolates with pink marshmallows and sharing homemade carrot cake - bliss.

Usually open seven days a week from approximately ten am till four pm, Dancing Waters Cafe is a charming place and complements the beautiful national park surrounding it. Food is fresh, homemade, scrumptious, catering to everyone from the meat-eater to the vegetarian, vegan and even those requiring gluten free options. The shelves in the cafe are lined with little homemade pots of pleasure for those who wish to purchase something for the cupboard at home.
Along with loads of yummy cakes and lunch options, some with a twist, Dancing Waters also serves great hot drinks made with love.

The ideal day out doesn't get much better taking a hike around one of the many Springbrook walking trails and then calling into
Dancing Waters Cafe for some great food and a hot drink. I often make a picnic lunch to take to Springbrook, but lately I've been enjoying the pleasures of visiting this wonderful little cafe so much, and it is so reasonably priced that I'm taking a picnic less and less and enjoying the cafe more and more.
I just hope this place stays around for another twenty five years. It truly is a precious little diamond tucked away amongst beautiful mountain scenery, and I am just so grateful for it.
