Dancing Lessons in New York

Those who want to improve on their dance skills, whether as a hobby or professionally, have plenty of options to choose from across NYC. The city is rich in fantastic classes with skilled teachers there is never a shortage of places to go. If you want to move your body on the dance floor and burn plenty of calories, certain places can allow you to do just that around other like-minded individuals.

Broadway Dance Center

There are over 200 different classes taught by highly skilled professionals Mia Michaels and Nick Lazzarini are among the guest and past teachers. There are currently over 80 faculty members. The schedule runs Monday through Sunday with classes for all levels from basic to professional. Some of the classes include Hip Hop, Belly Dancing, Jazz Funk, Ballet and African. Single passes as well as class card packages are available.

DivaDance

The classes at DivaDance are for beginners to intermediate they include Hip Hop, Strip, Lyrical and Jazz as well as workshops. There are currently classes held at various locations across the city. This isn't the place if you're more completely focused on getting everything 100 percent spot on it's more about having fun to energetic music while you learn to dance in an upbeat environment. Classes are on Mondays from 7pm to 9pm and Wednesdays and Thursdays from 7pm to 9pm. Private parties are also available.

New York Wedding Dance

Not every couple is a pair of stellar dancers this can pose for a bit of a problem on their wedding day. The lessons are absolutely private so it makes it especially ideal for those who don't feel comfortable trying to learn in front of a group. There are individual options as well as four other package options that are priced according to the number of lessons they are open Monday through Sunday. Those who live in the city can also request in-home lessons. There is also help available with song selection if necessary.
