Before Damian Callinan's film The Merger was released in cinemas during 2018, it was a one-man show.

See The Merger come full circle as it returns to the stage for a limited season at the 2019 Melbourne International Comedy Festival (MICF) from 9 to 21 April.

It tells the tale of Bodgy Creek (Roosters) Football Club are in trouble having to fold or merge with Hudson's Flat Cougars. Troy Carrington has other ideas to save the club.

Damian fluctuates between characters by crossing age, gender and ethnicity as Coach Carrington's embarks on a program to recruit refugees and unwittingly takes the community on a journey of change.
