I'm sure you have all heard of Dami Im - her road to success, being Australia's representative for Eurovision Song Contest 2016 but I bet you didn't know that we are able to see her in person. Dami is coming to the Sunshine Coast. "When?", I hear you say. Saturday 12 November 2016 in Caloundra.

I've been a huge fan of Dami's since she first ventured onto the stage in The X Factor Australia in 2013, and went on to win it, subsequently winning a recording contract with Sony. Dami was born in South Korea, with her family emigrating to Australia when Dami was only nine. And what makes it more impressive is that Dami couldn't speak a word of English when she arrived in Australia. I have huge admiration for Dami Im, managing to always show humility and selflessness in the world of 'showbiz' while allowing us, her adoring fans, to be enthralled by her magnificent voice.

Dami Im recently visited Uganda to meet the child that she has sponsored through Compassion Australia. As a result of her trip and follow-up media, an additional one hundred and thirty-three children were sponsored. What an incredible outcome of generosity.

And this fantastically talented person is coming to the Sunshine Coast to pay homage to one of Dami's own idols, Karen Carpenter. You'll get to hear all the great classics: There's a Kind of Hush, Close to You, and Rainy Days, plus Dami's chart-topping hits Alive, Super Love, Gladiator and her 2016 Eurovision song, Sound of Silence. But, she's only coming for one night, so you'll have to get in quick.
