Daisy Sweetie Cafe is like the chest of gold you're rewarded with after a long and harrowing treasure hunt. It's hidden away just below the Torrens Road overpass and can be easy to miss if you're not keeping an eye out. They offer a short but sweet all-day brunch menu, but their nighttime dessert menu is definitely what they're known for.

As you step inside Daisy Sweetie Cafe, you're greeted by warm and friendly staff. Scoot past the front counter to find the display case of their homemade cakes and slices. Each one is crafted with care and patience, making it hard to choose just one.

Their durian cake has been one of my personal favourites. The sponge cake is incredibly light and fluffy; when you couple that with the chunks of durian flesh and smooth cream, each bite is heaven. I'd recommend sharing this one to avoid dessert coma, or at least order it with tea and pace yourself.

Or if you'd prefer, check out their specialty Che, which is a dessert soup with your choice of filling.

Actually, why not go all out and grab a moffle while you're at it - they're crispy and chewy all at once and will leave you wanting more.

Their latest boba milk tea cake special was superb. How can you know you love the theatrics of pouring extra cream over your food?

Of course, the texture of the boba was spot on - not too sweet to balance out the sponge, and the chewy texture is always great fun. Don't forget to pair your food with their signature drinks, including the cult favourite iced strawberry matcha.

So grab a friend, or simply enjoy some time to yourself, and let Daisy Sweetie Cafe sweeten your day.
