This is one Filipino place that I have come across so far in Melbourne. It is in South Melbourne, near the South Melbourne Market.

Here it serves traditional Filipino food and it's popular with Melburnians. It is in fact a cheap eat. They have $10 lunch specials of a baguette, chips and soft drink, but I wanted to try the more traditional things, such as Pancit, chicken skewers and tea.

They do eat ins, as well as takeaways. They are cash only, but you can withdraw funds at Woolworths.

The service was a little on the slow side, but I had plenty of time to kill.

Whilst waiting I drank a green tea. Here it was refreshing and energising.

A Pancit ($11.80) is a Filipino rice vermicelli dish which has toppings on top of the vermicelli. The toppings are all mashed and mixed together. It was easy to eat.

I also enjoyed a chicken skewer for an extra $2.

In short: do come and try the traditional food.
