On any weekend morning, you'll find Dahlia's packed with families, couples and friends enjoying an array of delicious breakfast dishes. Dahlia's is proudly family owned and has been in the area for many years, recently refurbished, doubling the size of the premises to bring a trendy new atmosphere to its customers, boasting trendy timbers and lighting, reminiscent of an inner-city Melbourne cafe. Despite being within a mall, you'll soon see why this place has no trouble drawing a crowd.

We enjoy the welcoming aroma of fresh coffee as we walk to our table. The space is modern and vibrant, with inviting décor. We are soon part of the gradual crescendo of happy breakfast conversation as the place fills to capacity.

The first thing we notice as we get our menus is the variety of dishes on offer. I try the Green Breakfast with avocado, baby spinach, pesto and roasted vine ripened tomatoes on sourdough toast, with a lovely pot of Earl Grey tea. My husband tries the Dahlia's Big Breakfast with eggs, bacon, grilled tomato, hash brown, beef chipolata sausages, mushrooms and toast. The smell of coffee is too good to resist, so he also orders a piccolo latte which he tells me is fantastic. I'm told they have almond milk available if preferred. We both order a juice as well. If you like fresh juice, you can't go past the Mean Green Juice we enjoyed, made with spinach, pear, lemon and apple.

The portions are generous so come hungry. The food is delicious and the high quality of the produce is evident with every bite. You might also try their ricotta pancakes, crunchy French toast or salmon eggs benedict. If you are visiting for lunch, you'll have an array of fresh made wraps, soups, burgers, pasta, toasties, salads and melts to choose from.

If you're someone who enjoys a lighter breakfast of coffee and something sweeter, rest assured, there is a great selection made fresh daily for you, including Italian biscuits, scones, cheesecake and various tarts. If you can't get enough of their house-roasted coffee, you can buy a pack of Dahlia's coffee for yourself to enjoy at home. Available in 1kg, 500g and 250g packs ranging from $12.00 - $32.00.

Why you'll return to Dahlia's: Fresh, quality food in a contemporary space, friendly staff and generous portions. They also cater for takeaway, they are wheelchair accessible, vegetarian-friendly, kid friendly, gluten free options and brunch options are available too.

I know Dahlia's is going to be one of our new favourite breakfast spots, perfect for a laid-back weekend breakfast.

Once you're finished eating, you can enjoy some shopping at Campbelltown Mall since you are already there.
