On 17 April 2019, you have the opportunity to join the horticultural staff of Mount Lofty Botanic Garden in the planting of King Alfred Daffodils. These plants will create a vibrant yellow carpet when they bloom in spring. You will be able to marvel at the autumn colours in the garden while you work, then return in spring to admire the fruits of your labour.
If you are interested in taking part, click here to select one of three time slots: 9am to 10am, 10am to 11am or 11am to 12pm. Registration is free so you do not have worry about paying for anything. Each time slot only accepts 30 people and registration closes on 15 April so be sure to book early to secure your desired time slot.
Participants in the event are encouraged to wear long pants, sturdy shoes, sunscreen and a hat; and bring along a water bottle, gardening gloves and trowel.
