It's no secret that Montreal has made a name for itself as a burgeoning North American style hub. Despite the recent hiatus of Groupe Sensation Mode's Montreal Fashion Week, Canadian designers are still going strong.

Enter D Moment, a brand new event in its first edition, which has taken over the reins and is set to infuse style into our otherwise trend-filled winter. Happening February 24th and 25th, D Moment promises all the glitz and glamour we're used to seeing in the city's fashion scape and will showcase up and coming designers' 2014-2015 fall/winter collections.

Taking place at Locoshop Angus, stylists Geneviève Allaire and Nancy Richard are the brains behind the festival. Their mission is to drive homegrown Quebec talent into the spotlight to ensure the budding industry continues to thrive.

The program, revealed earlier last week, promises just that – a roster of veterans and newcomers to the local scene, among them, Mohawki, Aragon Couture, KQK, 3.PARADIS, Dominique Ouzilleau, Marilyne Baril, House-of-Sins, INSIEME, and Annick Lévesque.

Individual tickets for Monday and Tuesday are priced at $26.95, while a pass for both evenings will cost you $41.95. D Moment will also collaborate with TÉLIO to host the "Canada's Breakthrough Designers" 2014 finale.

We're glad our sartorial prayers have been answered and that we won't need to brave February's cold without our Montreal fashion fix.
