D. J's Market is the place to be on Saturday the 13th of December 2014 from 11.30am to 4.30pm. Held at 89 - 101 Oakgrove Drive, Narre Warren, come and check out this Christmas themed market. You just might see one of Santa's little helpers stopping by. Tis the season to be jolly so join the stall holders, many who are regulars and a few new ones who will give you some terrific Christmas gift ideas.
When you donate a gold coin on entry, you will receive a scavenger hunt card with 25 stall holders listed. If you visit them, you can collect either a stamp or sticker on your card. A random stall holder on the card may just have a little surprise for you along the way. Once your card is complete, take it to the front desk and pop it in the draw to win some amazing prizes including Movie Passes.
The giving spirit of Christmas doesn't end there. If you don't already have a ticket for the Christmas Hamper, you can buy one on the day for $2 each and tickets will continue to sell till 3pm or thereabouts. With a hamper valued at over $400 that includes items kindly donated by all the stall holders, it's the one not to miss. What a Christmas pressie that would be; or you can split it with your friends and family. If you do miss out on the big win, there will be a second ticket drawn. This second prize is a lovely home-made jam basket.
Always a hit with the kids, the petting zoo will also be there between 11.30am and 1.30pm so come on down and get up close and personal with the adorable animals. Each paid visit to the zoo will receive a special raffle ticket to win an amazing Santa chalkboard. This special draw will be by Santa himself at approximately 2.30pm. Santa and D.J the Lion will arrive at 1.30pm and will be in the playgroup undercover area just opposite the massage lady. Each child that speaks to Santa will receive a little something.
There will be loads of fun and surprises on the day so come on down for some family fun. This is one of the few markets that not only cater to the adults, but there's plenty to keep the kids happy while mum and dad shop. There will be face painting, a henna tattooist, a jumping castle, a children's Christmas card making workshop and lots more.
Narre Warren's 1st and only community market which launched in August this year (2014), D. J's Market Manager Sharyn Holt named the market after her mother Dawn Jackson whom passed away from a melanoma. She's helping to raise awareness through their raffles and gold coin donations. The markets are held on the 2nd Saturday of every month and they have their own mascot DJ the Lion who usually visits and always has lots of cuddles and lollipops to give away. Come on down to this Christmas Bonanza as the next one won't be till the 10th of January 2015 when it will run and finish an hour and a half earlier than it runs currently. 'LIke' the Facebook Page to keep up with the news and join the Facebook Event Page for updates and changes regarding this Christmas market.
