The Adventure Tour is your opportunity to enjoy the ultimate in 'luxury camping on wheels' as you pedal at your own pace and arrive at your daily destination campsite where you will be greeted with meals, entertainment and accommodation all prepared for you making this among the most social of all Bicycle Queensland's events.
Also making this the most luxurious of multi-day rides, you enjoy campsites equipped with first aid facilities, mechanics, a bike shop, masseurs, a general store, tourist information, licensed café, toilets, hot showers and night security. The expected early-afternoon arrivals will give you plenty of time to explore each town along the route and take in many other attractions in the region.
You will also receive three generous meals served daily by Bicycle Queensland's travelling chefs along with night-time entertainment including live music and a big-screen cinema.
All your luggage will be transported by the Bicycle Queensland team and will be ready for you when you arrive at your daily destination. All you will have to do at the end of your day's ride is collect your bags and set up your tent. Everything else is taken care of for you.
To get the event off on the right note, the first day of the Darling Downs Loop Ride is a 54 kilometre Toowoomba loop. Then, on day two, you will ride from Toowoomba to Allora, Warwick, Leyburn, Millmerran, Dalby and Goombungee before arriving back in Toowoomba on September 13. Each town will have its own tent city, or 'circus', as it is sometimes known, providing accommodation and facilities throughout the event.
The Darling Downs provides the perfect backdrop for this Adventure Tour as it offers quiet country roads, great towns and picturesque scenery for all riders to enjoy. It gives you the chance to have fun, explore Queensland and enjoy your cycling while all your needs are taken care of by the Bicycle Queensland team.
