Event:
An event for the whole family to share in

Nature Play WA is an initiative and family day out at Curtin University's Bentley campus.

The Nature Trail will have you exploring ten great outdoor areas at Curtin University Campus and at each of these stops, there will be fun nature play-based activities.

The whole family will find plenty to do at this event and some of the things that will be on include:

Rock painting and you can either hide these for other visitors to find, or you could take them home with you.

Play with mud (mud kitchen).

Nature crafts.

The Eco Faeries will be there to entertain the kids and help them use their imagination and they will also be helping you make a bird feeder.

Giant games you can play with other visitors and their families.
Kite making, where you can test and fly the kite that you make.
And more

As well as the children's activities mentioned above, there will be the following activities:

Food stalls/markets where you can pick and chose your favourite foods
Gardening workshops where the gardening team of Curtin University's Parks and Gardens will teach you about native plant seedlings. You also get to take home your own seedling, and watch it grow into a hopefully healthy plant!

Free fitness classes which will give you an introduction to getting fit
Makerspace

For this Event, your family is able to "walk, bike, scoot or skate the Curtin University Nature Trail on the day".

The programme is a "self-guided" event and parents are therefore responsible for their own child or children while you are there and during the various activities.

This is a special event where you will be able to see much of the Bentley University Campus.

The Campus is also open to the public each weekday and there is always something to do at this South of the River Institute.

THE APP
In order to get the most out of this day and so that you will have information about the different facilities at this Institute, you will need to download the FREE Nature Play app at this site before attending the event.

This free app will promote the resources, programmes, trails and events that have been made to make taking part in nature play very easy.

You will then be able to follow the set Curtin Nature Trail which will be a whole lot of fun!

This app will also be of use to you to find other nature trails, parks and events that you can attend with the family.
