In the words of JR Tolkien "Not all those who wander are lost". My passion and loves are my family, travel and writing. I'm fortunate to be able to combine all three for an extraordinary life adventure....
A mere 26kms from Coffs Harbour, you will find the pleasant coastal town of Woolgoolga or Woopi, as known to the locals.
The Woolgoolga Sikh community has a significant presence in the local area, and Curry Fest is the opportunity to immerse yourself in the local culture and soak up the festive vibe which draws on the unique Punjabi heritage.
The festival main celebration day will be held on 23 September 2017, with Bollywood movies screening the day before and other culinary experiences held on the 30th September as part of the EAT street fest.
On the 23 September, Woolgoolga, comes together to host the vibrant and colourful event. Various music, dance and other traditional and modern performances will take place. Dedicated areas will also be set up for families; a special kids zone with rides and entertainment and a Mindfulness zone; a place to chill and take part in spiritual workshops for those seeking inner peace.
