Sandringham, the small prestigious beachside suburb situated at the end of the train line in Bayside Melbourne, 16 km southeast of Melbourne's central business district, is a popular spot for beachgoers, and has a quaint village atmosphere which is home to many little boutique shops and cafes.
One such cafe that meets all the expectations of a village town is the Cuppa Cottage, situated on Station Street. Decor is delightful, imagine Grandma's kitchen with shabby chic style craft and ornaments adorning the walls and display units.
Whilst the menu is not large, Cuppa Cottage is suited to a light lunch or afternoon tea, with choices such as frittatas, sandwiches, fresh sausage rolls, pies, soups and the aforementioned freshly baked scones.
It is advisable to book a table for larger groups, we noticed a table booking for 20 people arriving shortly after we'd finished. High teas can be arranged for birthdays, baby showers, engagements, and hen's parties.
