Cupcake Day for the RSPCA is a national event held on the third Monday in August each year, to raise much needed funds for the animal welfare organisation, the RSPCA. This year the Cupcake Day event will be held on Monday 18th August, 2014.
The idea is simple. Become a Cupcake Host and organise an event in your home, workplace, school or community area. Supply the cupcakes, then invite all your family, friends, neighbours and workmates along to help you out and donate money for the RSPCA.
The event can be as simple as you like such as a morning tea or a ladies lunch, or you might like to organise a larger community event. The choice is yours, just use your imagination.
It's free to register, and fun to take part in.
The
Cupcake Day for the RSPCA website has loads of useful information about holding an event, plus all sorts of event items such as invitation cards, posters, cupcake wrappers, and bunting. You will also find some very delicious cupcake recipes on the website, including a special recipe for 'Pupcakes', a treat for your four legged friends.
All proceeds raised during Cupcake Day will go to each individual state-based RSPCA, to help continue the fight to make animal cruelty a thing of the past.
The RSPCA is an animal welfare organisation dedicated to preventing and responding to animal cruelty by protecting, rescuing, and caring for all creatures great and small.
