The iconic Coogee Bay Hotel is Melbourne Cup Day ready as it transforms itself into a race day hub on Tuesday 1 November 2022 from 12-7pm. That's a whole 7 hours of non-stop entertainment to celebrate Cup Day. Gather your crew and head to 253 Coogee Bay Road, Coogee where you can catch all the action on big screens throughout the venue, as you perhaps savour a delectable picnic lunch and drinks package. Be sure to be dressed for the occasion in your finest attire as there's prizes for best dressed to be won.

Head to the website to grab your tickets, or pick up other experiences and view the menu. You can get in the thick of the action in the sun-soaked Garden Bar and feel the beachside air, or level up the experience by booking an exclusive beach-view Cabana located in prime position in the Garden. For something a little more formal, book in for an exquisite experience at Marra Bar & Grill. Be spoilt with the finest produce from the East Coast as all the action of the Cup plays live and loud on the big screens. Choose your experience.

Coogee Bay Hotel Sports Bar and a portion of The Garden will remain open for a casual walk-in Melbourne Cup experience, however expect high demand for spots on Cup Day hence it's recommended you book for one of the experiences. For $180 per person, the Coogee Bay Hotel is serving up the ultimate picnic lunch featuring starters like natural Oysters with shallot vinaigrette, Duck parfait and burrata, cherry tomatoes and basil.

Mains include free-range roast Chicken with salsa verde, Josper Scotch fillet with chimichurri and whole roasted pumpkin and chickpea tabouli. For dessert there's Cointreau filled profiteroles, whipped chocolate, raspberries, and white chocolate strawberries. A 3-hour beverage package compliments the picnic and includes bottomless Mumm Champagne, beer, red, white and rosé. For entertainment you have Claire Howell at the helm from 12-4pm on the Balcony, and Tin Conlon from 4-7pm in the Garden.
