Looking for a cultural event with a truly global flavour that's FREE? Your search is over! Put the Darling Harbour Culture Beats festival in your diary and prepare to experience a melting pot of musical diversity. Culture Beats features a talented line up of musicians performing live, from September to December 2014, and from February to May 2015.

Presented by Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority in partnership with various cultural and community groups from across NSW, Darling Harbour Culture Beats is a FREE celebration of Australia's cultural diversity. Music from more than 22 nations will feature in the Culture Beats program, which will also showcase traditional and contemporary cuisine, dress and dance from around the world.

Here's an overview of the line up of the musical talent featuring in Culture Beats in 2014.

The Culture Beats program commences at 6.00pm on Saturday 6th September. The opening act is Nepalese teen pop star, Nima Rumba , who will perform live on-stage as part of the Nepal Festival. Described by critics as one of the best stage performers in Nepal, Nima's music is a mix of sentimental, folk and rock-based rhythms.

From 3.00pm on Sunday 21st September, Emily Rex , who mesmerised audiences on the most recent season of The Voice Australia , headlines the Brazilian 'Ritmo' Festival at Tumbalong Park.

On Sunday 28th September, as part of the Malaysia Festival, Malaysia's Bihzhu takes to the stage from 2pm. Winner of the Song of the Year at the 2013 Voice Independent Music Awards , Bihzhu skilfully combines elements of jazz, soul, reggae and pop.

The Darling Harbour Cultural Festivals program will also feature musicians from Myanmar (18th October), Lebanon (19th October), Poland (7th December), Japan (13th December) and Armenia (21st December).

All performances are suitable for all ages.
