CSO Brings Back the Magic to Armadale Town Hall

Classic Sounds Orchestra and their audiences are still on a high from their recent musical coup playing in concert in an historic church, combining a 260 year old Pipe Organ played so triumphantly by Liam Dekker, with songs from soprano Trish Leeder and musical delights from their own orchestra and string quartet. Music they performed covered the baroque, the classical and romantic years and included pieces from Mozart, Beethoven, Mussorsky and Bach.

Now the talented and hard working musicians from the Classic Sounds Orchestra are ready to perform live in three performances of their new concert "Bringing Back the Magic" to be held at the Armadale District Hall, corner of Church Avenue and Jull Street, Armadale, the historic precinct of this "heritage country" area of Perth.

The classical music to be featured in the concert will range from Panis Angelicus to Viva La Vida.

To make the occasion more memorable and fun, audiences are encouraged to dress in style or "even up to the nines" and bring along family, friends and neighbours.

Rachel John, musician, director, conductor and teacher, who leads this cohesive community band of musicians of all ages, would like to bring the magical musical experience of a live concert to as many people as possible.

CSO began nine years ago with a few violinists under Rachel's guidance. Since then the group has expanded and is now a full orchestra with a string quartet, an ensemble and a Twinkle Tot section that Rachel admits often steals the show.

There will be three performances of "Bringing Back the Magic". The first is on Friday 10th of July at 7.30 pm, followed by two performances on Saturday, July 11th; a matinee at 2.00 pm and an evening performance at 7.30 pm.
