Swing to infinity and beyond
I have to admit, I'm not exactly sure what this is and how it works, but I am intrigued enough to go take a look when it is up and running.

In pursuit of creative ways to engage the public and get us interested in methods of pursuing sustainable energy, those mad scientists at the CSIRO have created an interactive exhibit that will allow its users to see how movement can be converted into energy to power a light and sound show. What has more simple fun built into it than a swing? And who doesn't like a light and sound show? Combine the two, and you get - the CSIRO Infinity swing.

On display outside Customs House in the Sydney CBD from 4 - 8 November 2015, and in Federation Square in Melbourne from 16 - 21 November 2015, this exhibit/ demonstration/ toy is FREE so if you're in the city, it may be worth a squizz. Go satisfy your curiosity and see how it works.
It is open in Sydney from 4 - 8 November 2015 at the following times: Wednesday - 2pm - 10pm Thursday/ Friday 7.30 am - 10pm Weekend - 10am - 10pm
And in Melbourne it is open between 8am and 6.30pm every day from 16 -21 November 2015.
