I like to participate in life rather than be a spectator. Music, dancing, theatre, travelling, food, cycling and walking are some of my passions. Writing is an enjoyable pastime that allows me to share my experiences.

Crystalline Pottery can be found within 20 minutes drive of Port Macquarie. Rod Page has been creating unique art for about 40 years. After 26 years of supplying to galleries around Australia he has 'retired' to open his beautiful studio to the public.

A vanity basin takes shape

It is easy to while away some time here as Rod is very generous with his time and knowledge and his passion for his craft is obvious. He was happy to explain the process behind his unique creations and had plenty of interesting anecdotes.

The studio gallery

The gallery was full of many different pieces in jewel-like colours for very reasonable prices. Rod also creates bespoke bathroom vanity basins as well as other commissions.

Art is all around

The studio and surrounding gardens are a work of art and full of quirky installations, even the toilet has had a crazy makeover. Ring 6585 4035 before visiting to ensure Rod is not away travelling or surfing, better yet, take a tour there with Frankie's Travel.

Visit Crystalline Pottery if you are staying in the greater Port Macquarie region as you will enjoy the experience.
