I eat out on the weekends at different restaurants and then write about them. Otherwise I am looking at art, cooking or gardening. Soon to be a blogger under food curator__ where you can have a visual feast.

Sassy, Sultry and Sensual Cabaret and Burlesque Performance
Hidden underground in the historic GPO Box, lies the chic Crystal Bar and the Crystal Boudoir Show. In the entrance lobby you can expect to find floor to ceiling mirrors in gilded frames, dim lighting, and music seeping through the door, reminiscent of the glamour found in private Parisian clubs.
Crystal Bar offers a truly VIP experience, from the moment you enter. A doorman awaits your arrival at the door and a red carpet leads you into the show.
Almost a decade ago, in 2010, the one and only Dita von Teese made her debut here, performing her world known burlesque moves. The sultry and sassy vibes you would expect are nothing but evident.
Doors open at 9pm, and soon after that at 9:30pm the show begins, with the first professional dancer making her entrance. With intervals in between, the show then concludes around 11:00pm, with funky music playing for a few more hours. There is also a Dj, saxophonist and professional vocalist there to accompany you into the night.
Dancers come out dressed in exquisite headpieces, furnished with feathers and jewels, risqué costumes and bodysuits that elegantly shape their body, and props that assist their performance. Don't be surprised to catch a whip or a lasso hanging from the ceiling of the roof, as the dancers use their skills to engage your attention through surprise and a bit of a tease.
With such finesse and glamour, dancers performs show stopping moves, as they bend, stretch and elongate their bodies to demonstrate incredible synchronicity, strength and flexibility. Such professionalism is shown by the dancers as they become immersed in their cabaret and burlesque roles. From every gesture, stance and eye contact, the dancers fully capture your attention.
The show keeps you entertained as it crosses between solo pieces, to group dances and the wonderful performance by the saxophonist and vocalist, who electrifies the room with her incredible voice and energy.
There will be instances of surprise and moments for dance, as the dancers engage with the audience through tricks such as a jump split to back bends and so much more. Dancers come out into the crowd and invite you to join them on the stage or amongst the crowd as the night gets close to an end.
With loud cheers, singing and lots of dancing from the audience, the atmosphere of Crystal Bar is cheeky and fun. Not only are the performers the highlight of the show, the entire experience is one of a kind.
As the Crystal Boudoir cabaret and burlesque show is situated in the GPO Grand, it was the perfect accompaniment to a wonderful dining experience. With many dining options, it only seemed fitting to have dinner at the GPO's Postales Spanish Restaurant prior to the show and then to continue on with drinks at Crystal Bar.
With many hen's groups circulating on the ground floor and many other couples and groups, there are a number of dining experiences situated within the precinct. There is a premium steak restaurant, Prime Steak and an authentic Italian restaurant, Intermezzo Ristorante, located within the building amongst many other casual eateries. The great thing about heading to the GPO Grand is that you can expect to find yourself making the most of your night out in one spot.
The GPO Grand itself offers so much for guests. For restaurant bookings prior to the Cabaret and Burlesque show, information can be found here, The GPO Grande. Bring your partner or your girls and book into this bar for a truly entertaining night.
