Crust & Co Artisan Baking is a wholesale bakery which opened its doors to the public in July 2013.
This Newmarket hotspot is a collaboration between owner Lara Sample, of Chouquette Patisserie Boulangerie in New Farm and owner and baker, Sebastien Pisasale, who draws on his French and Italian heritage to produce a delicious range of traditional breads and pastries.
Located in the historic Red Brick Bakery building at 140 Edmondstone Street in Newmarket, Crust & Co Artisan Baking is open to the public on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 6:00am to 12:00pm.
Despite being open to the public for less than 6 months, the bakery already has a steady stream of regular customers who each have their own menu favourites; some of the popular items include 'Hazelnut Chocolate Croissants', 'Orange Blossom and Almond Brioche', 'Ricotta and Roasted Capsicum Quiche' and traditional baguettes, loaves and rolls made with sourdough.
Plus the menu is always evolving - Sebastien is currently working on a traditional focaccia made with oven-roasted tomatoes, fresh rosemary and French sea salt and he has just introduced a stunning pistachio croissant with spice syrup creation!
