Interstate guests were visiting from colder climes, so I suggested meeting up for breakfast. The only stipulation was that my friends "needed to see the water", being that they spent their lives in one of those landlocked cities. Really, how awful for them!

We loved watching the boats in the harbour as well as the seagulls diving for fish. Locals were walking their dogs on the boardwalk and others were just wandering, taking in the beauty of a new day full of promise.



is located at Raby Bay, five minutes walking distance from Cleveland Railway Station and right in the heart of the shopping district. It is a relaxing venue with both indoor and outdoor seating. It's one of those cafes you could become quite accustomed to, having shelves lined with reading materials to ease you into a busy day.

Open seven days a week, Crusoe specialises in breakfast and lunch. Opening times are as follows:
Monday 8am till 4pm
Tuesday 8am till 4pm
Wednesday 8am till 4pm
Thursday 8am till 4pm
Friday 8am till 4pm
Saturday 7:30am till 3:30pm
Sunday 7:30am till 3:30pm



The food was tasty and the service was good. What a truly positive start to the day!
