Head for the hills this Australia Day weekend from the 24th to the 26th of January to enjoy the best food and wine in the beautiful summer atmosphere of the cool Adelaide Hills region.
The weekend kicks off with Friday night sunset sessions at three venues. For example, Barristers Block Wines at Woodside presents their first Fiano paired with beautiful food like pizza, fresh oysters and tapas platters. It's on from 6 pm - 10 pm at Barristers Block Wines on Onkaparinga Valley Road at Woodside.
Long lunches are an integral part of the festival. Try Paracombe Wines Chilled Summer Days for a long lunch atop the range at Paracombe enjoying fine food, wine and art. From 9.30 am - 5 pm Saturday and Sunday. Bookings are essential. Follow the link below. Twilight dining in the Adelaide Hills watching a summer sunset is an unforgettable experience. Twilight dining packages are available at three venues.
There's plenty of other awesome ways to immerse yourself during CRUSH festival. You can see Shakespeare in the Vines at Deviation Road Winery or join in making fresh pasta sauce at a long luncheon at Somerled Cellar Bar!
Bring the family along for the garden picnics and family fun across both days of the festival. Golding Wines is holding a Hawker in the Hills event both days from 10 am - 6 pm. It'll be an Asian hawker-style inspired food event with Dj's and live music and a jumping castle for the kids in the family area.
Some of these wineries nearly lost it all in the recent fires but are open for business. Why not go out and spend some money at CRUSH Festival 2020 and help the Adelaide Hills community recover from the fires?
General entry to Crush venues is free but you'll need the official souvenir wine glass to purchase wine at the non-ticketed events.
Make a weekend of it! There are heaps of places to stay in the hills. Don't want to drive? There are shuttle bus options available with return trips from the Adelaide CBD and Mount Barker with stops at three different Crush venues for $32 - $43 per person.
