Cruise ship spotting has become an entertainment and one that is far more accessible than you might think. In the months of February and March, continuing the cruising season, there are no less than five visits to Phillip Island from these floating resorts. Forget the traffic hazards and congestion of the Melbourne ports area and take a pleasant day trip to Phillip Island, where there will be no shortage of great vantage points. The ships are at anchor all day and Phillip Island is an easy day trip from Melbourne.

Arrive early enough and you will be able to witness the passengers being ferried to the Rhyll jetty on the ship's tenders. For those who like to capture a photo or two, this is a great opportunity.
