Fly south for the winter. Or at least drive south to Cronulla for a day to soak up the beautiful sun Sydney can flaunt during our winter. Get out of the suburban shadows and into some expanse cruising on Port Hacking.



Winter is the perfect time of year for a cruise.
The sun is warm and you can enjoy standing outside without the fear of severe sunburn, although it is advisable to wear a hat even in winter, our Aussie sun is treacherous. The cruise begins at 10.30am and finishes at 1.30pm which is peak sun time.





Take a trip back in time on board the historical M.V. Tom Thumb III (named after the explorers, Bass and Flinders boat, who explored and mapped this estuary in 1796). This small timber boat gently cruises through 11 sq kms of waterways with the captain giving a narrative on the area's history and points of interest.





Being a relatively inexpensive low key cruise it is great for a family outing or a day out with friends. For the avid photographer, capture some snaps of the stunning Royal National Park or ripples on the water or just sit outside, relax and watch the world go by.





A simple morning tea is provided and the vessel has a fully licensed bar on board if you wish to purchase drinks. Take some snacks or sandwiches if you think you will get hungry.
