Take a cruise from Fremantle and enjoy
There are many cruise ships which are leaving again from Fremantle during the 2018 year, and I find cruises are particularly easy for seniors, as there is no lugging bags around, no changing hotels, and often no planes (though some of the cruises go only one way), and no stress.
So nice to come back to a room like this!
Admittedly I love to eat, or should I say I live to eat, so cruising is "up my alley".
One of the dining rooms on board
The following is a list of cruises that you could book on for next year, but remember they fill up very quickly. I would recommend at least an ocean view or even one with balcony, as this makes it just that bit more luxurious even if you are not in the room a lot.
With many of the cruises which are 7 days or longer, you could be eligible to receive up to $100 on-board credit. Prices are per person based on a twin share cabin, and all prices are approximate only and could vary.
All these cruises can be booked for you at any reputable travel agent.
ABOUT FREMANTLE PORT
Fremantle port is not the "swankiest" port in Australia, however, it saves a plane fare to the Eastern States to board a cruise. The Fremantle Passenger Terminal was built on Victoria Quay, Fremantle between 1960 and 1962 and opened in time for the arrival of competitors for the Empire Games in Perth in 1962.
The terminal is the largest in Australia and is the only passenger terminal in Australia capable of berthing two cruise liners simultaneously. In 2000, the building was permanently listed on the State Register of Heritage Places, was classified by the National Trust in 2001, and was also registered on the former Register of the National Estate. The Terminal celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2010.
