This almost one kilometre drive runs from Hull Road and meanders a little but is quite level.

My walk started in the best way possible, two colourful galahs huddled together half up a tall gum tree. Were they cold or just in love?

Camellias were out in force with many vying for photographic attention.

Almost as prolific were several Azaleas.

Although it is a well-established area only one lychgate and picket fence were seen, unusually in front of a brick residence. Another picket fence was very overgrown as was all of the garden.

A bee found a pink rose attractive, while I found a single red rose against a blue sky attractive.

Also attractive was a large bush of orange Chinese lanterns, always a pleasure to see.

Old wheelbarrows are often recycled as elevated, mobile garden beds, so two in the one garden was noteworthy. One ornamental and one practical, with a lush crop of parsley.

A red bottlebrush was erupting into full flower, but still looked attractive.

This is a street of mature trees and an advantage of them is many children's swings are attached to some of the lower branches. Homegrown fun.

No walkers were encountered, just a group of three waiting for a house inspection appointment.

A bird feeder, birdbath and a fountain were adjacent to each other to attract local avian life.

A crested pigeon and a magpie were the only other birds seen, apart from the earlier mentioned galahs.

A magpie of a different species was seen holding a cement 2010 Collingwood AFL premiership trophy.

Partway along is Walhalla Court, a short street, which ends at the Walhalla Reserve, which extends through to Hull Road, via a level gravel path.

A small tree with no leaves and just some lovely pink flowers stood out, as did the very colourful patch of Pigface.

Many jonquils were flowering, with the yellow ones particularly attractive.

Many gardens are featuring the very low maintenance yucca plants. They do add to a garden when planted in numbers.

It's an easy walk, even for the mobility challenged, with the bonus of a reserve walk.
