Then this could be the festival for you. Buskers and entertainers of all ages are being sought to join in this action packed festival. This is the festival for all talents and will no doubt be full of surprises.

There are several prizes of up to $350 and gift vouchers. There are many categories of prizes so you never know your luck. These will be awarded for music performances, solo and group, under 13, 13 to 18-year-old, and open age. There are also prizes for Street Theatre and Circus arts.

Other prizes include best music act, best youth or junior performance, best non-music performance and the people's choice award.

Street performing or busking has been practised all over the world dating back to antiquity. It is often associated with gypsies and circus acts. They are hard to resist when walking past.

So dust off the Diablo, practice your juggling or balloon twisting or tune your flute for a bit of snake charming perhaps. This is your chance to shine and be creative and original.

If you just want to join in the excitement and not perform, just rock up on the day. This will all take place under the beautiful trees lining the main street and Hewish Road Croydon between 11 AM and 4 PM on Saturday 3 May 2014.
