I'm a retired photographer living in Lilydale mainly researching and writing on Australian aviation history. Now writing more on general subjects.
A farmers market in suburbia
Croydon Farmers' Market is a Regional Farmers Market operating with the strict criteria for all stallholders to follow in bringing their authentic produce to market.

No doubt your are getting near.

The Croydon Farmers Market operates on the 2nd Saturday of the month at Croydon Park.

The local corellas were the early birds at the market.

Normally there are around 40 stallholders, but the day I visited there were only half that number.

Market Stalls
One row of stalls.

The number of stallholders may have been down, but the quality of products for sale wasn't. The offerings from every stall looked fresh and inviting.

Waiting vendors

Some of the products on sale were, vegetables, apples, honey, olive oil, meat, salmon, fruit, eggs, bread, pastries, and cakes all good enough to eat.

Garden fresh vegetables

Freshly caught and freshly picked.

Non-edible produce was a large range of different soaps and a good range of plants.

A soap for every occasion

On a grassy area between the two rows of stalls a few tables and chairs were available for a rest or after patronizing the coffee van.

Some of the patrons relaxing.

Dogs on leads are welcome and many were seen.

Man and dog
Every man and his dog were there. The dog is a Scottish Deer Hound. Very friendly.

Parking is no problem with street parking and nearby off street car parks.

The next Croydon farmers Market is on Saturday 13th April 2019.

From 8am to 1pm. Don't miss it.
