With the recent opening of Crown Towers, the latest addition to the Crown Casino, my partner and I decided to spend the night and see what all the fuss was about. *TOP TIP* By becoming a Crown member, you will receive emails on all deals hotel and casino related, perks I have cashed in on quite often Our current overnight stay was only $259 for a gorgeous room overlooking the "Darling Ranges": a term I use very loosely as it's really just a cityscape with a bunch of hills in the background. Nothing really darling about it at all.
The rooms come with all the modern conveniences and a few high tech add-ons. A bedside tablet enables you to control the lighting, curtains and room temperature, all at the touch of a button. Our room, though a little bit on the small side, flowed and the layout seemed quite spacious. A quick elevator trip takes you to the ground floor, which features gorgeous interior design and access to the casino, restaurants, spas and the refreshing spread of pools (with different depths and slides to suit your swimming capabilities or fun level).
Dinner at the Epicurean was a delectable open kitchen buffet, brimming with mouth-watering dishes. Whether your palate be aimed around the exotic, simple or maybe somewhere in between, I can guarantee you will be well catered for. I'd recommend not eating twenty four hours prior as there is a lot to sample. At the very least, wear loose fitting clothing.
My only criticism would have to be that at check in, there were nine check in desks and only three attendants checking in guests. The queue was about eight or nine customers deep, which made for a bit of a lengthy wait.
All in all however, I would highly recommend the stay, be it a romantic night out, or just a luxurious treat. Crown Towers definitely deserves its six star rating.
