I'll admit I'm a bit of a market junkie and when I visit Wollongong I enjoy the Friday markets and have bought the tasty artisan breads, plants, and lovely fresh fruit and vegetables. Both of these markets are popular, the produce from the independent growers is top quality and the other stalls have great hand-made goods where you will find something different. Come and experience a diverse range of local street food, vegan-friendly options, local farmers and growers produce, and unique trinkets fashioned by local makers, artisans, designers and creators.
There is a real community atmosphere as locals and visitors buy from these small businesses keeping the vibrant local economy strong.

Wollongong is well-known as a steel city, but there is so much more to this seaside city than the steelworks. You will have hours of fun browsing all the goodies on offer at both these markets at the Crown St Mall, Wollongong. Make a long weekend of it and enjoy both the Thursday Night and Friday markets.
Getting There and Parking
There is public transport available from the outer suburbs and also an inner-city shuttle called the
Gong Shuttle. There is no parking in the Mall, it is a pedestrian area only, but there are two large car parking stations attached to the two main shopping centres - Crown St Mall and Wollongong Central
