Discover another face of Sydney
When travelling, I prefer accommodation on the fringe of a city. It's out of the expensive tourist traps, parking and transport is easy and you have the chance to see a different perspective of the city and meet the locals. There is more relaxed tone to a holiday, which is what it should be. Luxury boutique accommodation at Crown Hotel in Surry Hills is an ideal Sydney stay.
Beautifully appointed bedrooms, clean lines and very New York style.
This beautifully appointed boutique accommodation makes your stay feel like home. The hotel consists of only eight elegant rooms, so you will be remembered by name and not just a number. Hotel rack rates start from $189 per night, yet you can get some great deals below $150 per night if you stay mid week, depending on availability.
Hallway with elegant prints.
I love the elegant contemporary decor, it reminds me of a New York hotel look. Each room has a Queen bed and comfortable lounging chairs to relax. Beautiful etched glass wardrobe doors expose your tea and coffee facilities.
Private breakfast room and gorgeous decor creates a casual atmosphere. Doors open to outdoor seating on balcony to catch the cooling breeze.
Outdoor settings on the balcony to sit and rest and kick back in the evening with a drink or two at pub prices!
The breakfast room is private and has a stunning glass dining table and chairs to eat indoors or sit outside on the small balcony. Creating a relaxed atmosphere to plan and start your day.
Perfectly positioned between Sydney Airport and the CBD, Crown Hotel is just a 10 minute walk to Central Station to jump a train to anywhere. It's close to Sydney's beaches and a 10 minute train or bus ride to Sydney Harbour's tourists attractions.
Sydney's major entertainment sites are less than 2kms away. You can save heaps of time and money on transport to spend on more luxuries for yourself.
For sports enthusiasts, you can walk 1.1 kms to the Sydney Cricket Ground and Sydney Football Stadium. You actually beat the cars that are banked up in traffic jams trying to enter and exit the stadium's car parks.
Oxford Street's renown nightspots and Sydney Mardi Gras is just 1km away for all those ragers, again an easy walk back to the hotel saving on taxi fares and waiting around for one.

The Entertainment Quarter has cinemas, bars, cafes and fun things for kids and the Hordern Pavilion are just under 2kms away if you are attending music shows and exhibitions. Visit the famous Paddington Markets for great shopping.

You needn't go far to be entertained or enjoy some delicious food. Within the hotel, Dome Bar is one of Sydney's most glamorous and beautiful bars located on the second floor of the hotel. The decor alone is a sight to see and the meals are scrumptious.

Hotel food is usually expensive and uninteresting with most travellers preferring to head elsewhere to grab dinner. The Crown's Players Lounge located on the ground floor offers hearty meals at pub prices, you can grab a main meal downstairs or have it delivered into your room between 12noon and 9pm for $10 and the drinks are pub prices. So you save heaps on food. If you get those late night munchies, you can order a great pizza 24/7.
