Fun for kids of all ages and tasty treats for parents
Stepping into Croc's Play Centre in Jandakot is like stepping into some sort of kids and parents paradise. Why? Well, for the kids, there's a mass of awesome activities and play equipment, and for the parents, there is Muffin Break.
Yep. One of Australia's favourite coffee franchises has set up shop in a kid's play centre. The chance to sit down and enjoy (in between chasing after my daughter) a delicious coffee and a scrumptious double choc muffin with a heap of cream cheese on the top makes this place more than ok in my books.
Crocs Jandakot is huge. There are several different play spaces for the kids, including a dedicated babies area and a toddler section, plus a designated cafe area in case you don't have the kids with you and want to enjoy a bit of piece and quiet.
Of course, my daughter was more interested in opening and closing the toddler area gate than actually playing in the area (I could have saved myself $9.50 and let her open and close gates at home) but I preserved and coaxed her into the space.
Once she was in she started to realise how much fun it actually was. This area is split level, with soft, cushioned steps leading up to the second tier and a slide to get back down. There is a bouncy castle, a separate, smaller slide and a tunnel to crawl through. It's not the biggest area, but it was ok on the quiet afternoon we visited.
You can hire one of several themed birthday party rooms and they offer several different options according to budget. You can also hire 'Mr Croc's Nightclub' for extra special disco parties. On Friday nights, the centre is open until 7pm if you prefer a late afternoon/early evening birthday party. You might even get a visit from the famous Mr Croc himself.
