Cooking and baking with two children is messy. Cooking and baking with 10 children is a downright catastrophe. If your child ever tells you they want a cooking or baking-themed party for their next birthday, I suggest you check out
Crocs Play Centre in Cannington.
There are not too many places in Perth that give children the opportunity to combine baking and cooking with a birthday party. Crocs in Cannington is one such venue. Not only is it a fantastic play centre, but it also has a special little space just for kids to have a go at baking cookies and cooking pizza while celebrating a special birthday or occasion.
I have previously visited the Crocs Play Centre in Jandakot, so was aware that most, if not all, of the centres, have a Muffin Break franchise located inside. I expected a carbon copy of the Jandakot centre but I can safely say that's not what greeted my children and I.
Crocs in Cannington is absolutely huge and is packed with activities for kids up to 12 years old. Along with the awesome baking parties, they can also chill out with a pamper party or rage on at a disco party, plus enjoy all the spoils of the centre itself.
At the centrepiece of the centre is the multi-level play structure, which has plenty of rope climbing, a rock climbing wall, tunnels, twisty slides and soft play. There is a separate area for toddlers and preschoolers, which has a soft brick house you can build, plus jumping castles and a mini version of the play structure.
The centre also has a section just for babies aged 12 months and under, while older children can race against mum and dad on the Grand Prix track! There are fees involved for the cars, but you can choose from various vehicles to see who reigns supreme in your family.
As mentioned, most Crocs Play Centres have a Muffin Break franchise attached to them. I ordered a cappuccino and one of their delicious double chocolate muffins. I do love their muffins and this one was a freebie for my birthday. Woohoo! The cafe sells a range of hot and cold drinks, plus small meals and plenty of sweet treats.
The cafe area is huge, with plenty of space to park yourselves while the children play. There are high chairs available, plus lots of room for the pram. The kids will need socks to play and you can buy them at the centre if you forget.
Crocs is open between 9am to 5pm on weekdays and 9:30am to 5pm on weekends. School day entry fees are $9.50 for children aged 1 to 2 years and $12.50 for children aged 3 and over. At all other times entry is $10.50 for children aged 1 to 2 years and $13.50 for children aged 3 and over.
Crocs Play Centre Cannington is the perfect place for a birthday party for children who love to cook and bake and is also a fantastic spot for a morning or afternoon of play.
