Crockery Cooking (Better Homes and Gardens) - Book Review

Crockery Cooking (Better Homes and Gardens) states on page 4 that we can be confident that every recipe is going to taste great every time. They perfect every recipe in their Test Kitchen before presenting. Furthermore, they look for ways to shorten recipes. Also, they make sure ingredients may be found in local grocery markets.

With my own personal copy, I have favorites highlighted with Post-It notes, such as Sloppy Joes, Hot Kielbasa and Potato Salad, Scalloped Potatoes and Beans and Meatballs and Vegetable Stew.

With Sloppy Joes, you are sure to please even the pickiest of eaters.

Serve garlic bread with Hot Kielbasa and Potato Salad to make a filling and tasty meal.

Leave the skin on when making Scalloped Potatoes and Beans as the skin is where the nutrients are.

Have Meatballs and Vegetable Stew ingredients in your freezer at all times, so you can prepare this recipe frequently as is delicious.

My Opinion

Better Homes and Gardens is a trusted name. Crockery Cooking is easy to follow. This cookbook has many bean recipes that utilize beans. So, if you are a vegetarian, you might find it interesting. All in all, I think kids of all ages would find this cookbook good in making a delicious dinner by simply tossing in the ingredients at the beginning of the day. Although I may not be a vegetarian, I do find this cookbook a good resource of meat substitutions.

I would recommend this cookbook to any Mediterranean or flexitarian.
