Brighten up your winter with some vibrant yarn bombing! Every winter around the city, beautiful knitted and crocheted pieces adorn trees, bike racks, chairs and statues.

The friendly crew at Classie offer a popular Crochet for Beginners workshop in the heart of Brisbane.
The interactive three hour workshop is held on Saturdays at 10am and is ideal for beginners as well as those who want to brush up on their crochet skills.
Held in a relaxed, social atmosphere, this delightful workshop will introduce you to double and treble crochets, chain stitches, slip stitches, their abbreviations, and how to crochet in the round.
By the end of the workshop, you'll have started your very own granny square, which can be extended into a runner, blanket or tea cosy.
The workshop is held in small numbers, so you can receive one on one guidance as well as handy tips and tricks.
Everything is provided too, including a hook, sample patterns and a ball of yarn.
This is a great workshop to do with your friends and or maybe your daughter or granddaughter (it is suitable for ages 12 and over)* and you are sure to meet some like-minded new friends on the day.
As you master your stitches, you will also enjoy a complimentary non-alcoholic beverage as part of the experience.
