crimeScene, the launch of a new crime fiction conference, the first of its kind in Perth!

For enthusiasts of crime fiction and most things crime related, budding authors and people with a macabre sense of the normal, crimeScene will be held at the Novotel Langley Hotel in Perth, Western Australia over the weekend of the 29 – 30 September 2012.

There is a fantastic programme lined up that will present talks and discussions by crime fiction authors regarding their work and by the people involved in the real-life world of criminal investigations.

Speakers include Alan Carter, Stephen Dedman, Sarah Evans, Katherien Howell, David Whish-Wilson, Felicity Young, Matthew Bateman-Graham, Haydn R Green, Dr. Simon Lewis (The Fickle Finger of Fate: the Science of Fingerprint Detection), Professor John Watling (The Future of Inorganic Forensics Science?), Andrew Williams and Paul Yovich.

In addition The Sherlock Holmes Society of Western Australia (Est 1983) will be holding a panel discussion on Enduring The Years - A Study of Sherlock Holmes featuring Dr Douglas Sutherland-Bruce (Founding president and Patron), Damian Magee (current President), Fred Rutter (past President) and Heather Magee.

Membership to crimeScene 2012 is $50/day. Spaces are limited so be sure to register early to secure your spot.

crimeScene 2012 is being held at the Novotel Perth Hotel Langley on 29-30 September 2012.
