Creme brulee lovers celebrate the French dessert
With a name like a Creme Brulee, there has to be a French connection; however, I do remember making it from a school cookery book.
Wikipedia states that the earliest known recipe appeared in a French cookbook in 1691 although the name "burnt cream" was used as an English translation. From that time, the dessert seemed to vanish from French cookbooks until around the 1980's when it became a favourite once again.
Bistro BellaVista in East Perth is celebrating this delicious dessert on Sunday 22nd July 2018 from 5.30pm to 9.30pm. Creme Brulee is a rich creamy custard topped with a layer of hard caramel and is sure to tingle any taste buds. If you love this dessert or cannot remember what it tastes like, why not pop down to Bistro BellaVista for your serving. Cost per serving is $11.90. Door sales only on the day.
In 2017, Bistro BellaVista won The Gold Plate award for the category of best European/Mediterranean style restaurant and was also a finalist in the category for best Pizza. Chefs Alfredo Chiella and James Dougherty bring the best culinary excellence to the table.
