The Creators Market, proudly presented by The Ideas Library, is coming to Malvern Town Hall on Wednesday 21st January 2015.
From 2:00pm to 9:00pm, this special one-off event, which is part of the annual Midsumma Festival programme, brings to gather a diverse range of arts and crafts; expect up to 100 stalls offering fashion, fine art, candles, wood carvings, painting illustrations, kids clothe, soap bombs, tips and so much more!
As part of the festivities, the Classie crew are joining in and offering interactive Intro to Crochet, Knitting for Beginners and Secret Sketch Crawl workshops onsite!
Come along and learn the versatile art of crochet in a contemporary masterclass for beginners up. Crochet is a simple craft that is easy to pick up and adapt in order to create anything your heart desires! Your instructor Laura is a RMIT graduate with a BA in textile design with a focus on working with wool.
In case you missed the memo, knitting is back in (did it ever go out?). Learn the basics of your new favourite hobby with all materials provided. Your instructor Jess is a young Melbourne local who's a knitter by day and bartender by night. Jess will metaphorically hold your hand through the two hour workshop, which has been specially devised to help brand-new knitters create their first finished piece.
Discover your inner artist at the travelling sketching masterclass around the beautiful Malvern Town Hall!
Each of these workshops are held in small, intimate groups, ensuring the instructors will be able to offer personalised advice and one-on-one instruction. All materials are included, as well as a complimentary beverage.
All are welcome to participate in both or either worksop and early bookings are encouraged as places are strictly limited.
