Creative Glass Class at The Leadlight Workshop

One of my new year's resolution was to start doing something only for myself and breaking daily routine.

After weeks of thinking what should it be, I came across the Lead Lighting Workshop held at Brisbane Institute of Art in Windsor.
Library of Congress, Prints & Photographs Division, ILL,16-CHIG,33-8 / Wikimedia Commons

It has beginners and advanced classes. I am doing a beginner's class where you have an option to purchase your own tools and do a small project if you wish to continue later at home and not to attend the advanced class.

The best thing is that it is all inclusive (materials) and beginners use workshop tools - so no extra cost.

I am loving it and the best thing is having time for myself. It is held on Mondays nights from 6 pm till 9 pm with a lovely coffee/biscuits break.

The team is lovely and the teacher is very supportive and shares all his knowledge with you. He is very passionate about lead lighting.

I am almost about to finish first part and am about to start designing a project for my bay window.

There are more options you can choose from: leadlighting for beginners, lampshade for beginners, advanced leadlighting and glass cutting.

The cost is between $90 and $240

Please check their website below for more info and some interesting facts and photos.
