Bayside City Council is presenting an interactive arts and crafts workshop for boys and girls aged 6 and above these school holidays! Bookings are now open.
Entitled 'Create Bush Critters', this delightful two and half-hour workshop will see crafty and creative kids create their very own woven and sculpted animals inspired by the Bayside and Peninsula regions.
As part of the experience, the local Indigenous artists from Baluk Arts will also teach children about their quirky creatures which were created with grass, wool and string.
It's sure to be an inspiring and educational experience for all children and parents and guardians are also welcome to attend.
The 'Create Bush Critters' workshop will be held at The Gallery at Bayside Arts and Cultural Centre on Wednesday 27th of September, 2017 - choose from two session times - 10am or 1.00pm. The participation fee is $25 per child, per session (includes materials) and bookings can be made on (03) 9261 7111 or via the online form. Early bookings are advised as places are strictly limited.
This workshop is held in association with the exhibition 'Balnhdhurr - A lasting impression', celebrating 20 years of the Yirrkala Print Studio, which is on display at The Gallery at Bayside Arts and Cultural Centre from 23 September to 5 November 2017.
