Exercise and I don't seem to get along very well. Whenever I begin an exercise regime it never seems to last more then a fortnight. I decided to bite the bullet and invest in a personal trainer.
I was experiencing many different emotions before my first session. I had this horrible idea of a drill sergeant shouting and forcing me to do push up after push up until I collapsed.
However, my session was nothing like that. Before I begin describing my session, I'd like to describe this personal training business.
Crazyfit Personal Training is a personal training business run by Andrew. He is located in the western suburbs of Melbourne and does freelance personal training around Melbourne. Andrew graduated from the Australian Institute of Fitness (AIF) with a Master Trainer qualification (certificate III and IV in fitness) and has also obtained his senior first aid certificate (CPR and First Aid) and is a certified Punch Fit trainer (for anyone that isn't sure what a certification in Punch Fit is, it means Andrew is qualified to include boxing in his sessions).
According to the Crazyfit Personal Training Facebook page, Andrew specialises in:
Strength and resistance
Muscle gain and definition
Excited, energised, fit and strong was how I felt after my first session with Andrew. The session was nothing like I thought it was going to be like. Before the session began Andrew asked me what were my goals. This was to assist Andrew with tailoring the sessions to my needs. My main goals were, and still are, weight loss and to tone up. The session started with a series of fun warm ups. One of these warm ups included some boxing. I found this to be much more exciting then your more traditional forms of warm ups.
The session continued with a variety of other exercises that were targeted at meeting my goals. One of the things I most enjoyed about training with Andrew was he wasn't like any other personal trainer I've had, seen or come across. He didn't just stand there and give his orders. He actually got on the floor or the machine and demonstrated what was required. Also, he constantly encouraged me to push myself with positive feedback and motivating comments. I found this to be most helpful, as I often give up when I become fatigued during exercising.
In conclusion, I've been training with Andrew for close to two months now and will continue to. I have found every session that I have with Andrew is tailored to meet my goals and is not some generic fitness regime. I look forward to continuing my sessions with Andrew and achieving my goals. I would recommend Crazyfit Personal Training to all my friends, family and or anyone who wants to slim down, tone up or increase their fitness.
