Go Crazy for Crazy Bananas

Published September 21st 2009
Everyone loves frozen yogurt. It's refreshing and delicious--the perfect way to satisfy your sweet tooth. But many of the city's frozen yogurt shops are often crowded, especially during the weekends.

So the next time you're craving some froyo, head to Crazy Bananas and dig into a bowl of bracingly cold, creamy frozen yogurt. It's (comparatively) less crowded than many of the other frozen yogurt shops in NYC--a hidden gem of sorts. Crazy Bananas' friendly employees and cheerful interior make it feel like you're sitting in someone's cozy kitchen.

Create your dessert masterpiece by first choosing between the original or pomegranate flavors of yogurt (if you're indecisive, you can get a swirl with both flavors). Then choose from a plethora of toppings. The health conscious can pile on banana slices, kiwi chunks, or raspberries, but if you have more of a sweet tooth, you can choose to add Oreo cookies, sprinkles, or chocolate chips.

Crazy Bananas isn't all about the frozen yogurt, though. They also serve smoothies, various kinds of tea (bubble, hot, and iced), coffee, and cappuccino. So sit back, relax with your treat (or treats) of choice, and enjoy this delicious little oasis in the midst of the urban chaos.
