It seems lately I'm getting my salad on! And yes, it did happen again at the Del Hotel.

I ordered the haloumi and pearl cous cous salad as I was having a few drinks out for a farewell and opted for a light meal.

All the ingredients, well, I love them; the cous cous, the pumpkin, haloumi (yum) and spinach. But to my disappointment it was over-run by salt. I don't know why it was so salty, I think it was the haloumi! (I have eaten it many times and it usually isn't like that).

I ended up leaving some of it because my taste buds were over -powered by salt. I mean I like salt, but this was a little too much. I think if they had balanced it with a sweet dressing it may have worked, but no, it just wasn't that pleasant.

The Del is a pretty good place to hang out, the food is probably in my medium range of like. Good, tasty, but not the best I've ever had - I'd probably put it down to good hearty pub style meals, that sort of thing. This time though, it didn't float my boat and I won't be getting that again.

Thumbs down this time Del......
