Have you ever looked through your childhood photos and wondered: "Have I truly grown up?". I bet there's an inner child in all of us, no matter how grown up we think we are. I thought I was all grown up, but I thought wrong, when I stepped into Crave, Healesville's Sweet Secret.
I've always been a lolly lover, especially as a kid, until the authorities in my life, also known as my parents, told me that I'd be ugly with rotten teeth or that it' would wreck my appetite. I suppose I'm all grown up now and have come to understand the wisdom of self control, for lollies especially. However, that surge of childish yearning came back when I went to Crave, whose owners states that chocolate is a balanced diet.
This delightful lolly shop was founded last October by a passionate lolly lover, who loves to find her adventures on the sweeter side. It is actually no secret that if you're looking for a certain sweet in Healesville, you're sure to find it here. Maybe something with a little chilli, or maybe with a little magic, or more of the frozen variety.
But oh boy, if I had this shop when I was growing up, I don't think my mum would have been able to keep tabs on my pocket money. It would have all been spent on the newer, tastier arrivals everyday. With their ever changing shop window and their lolly tree logo, I don't know if any child or the inner variety could resist them. Maybe my mum would be dismayed to find that her daughter has grown uglier with rotten teeth or that she's stuffed herself with lollies instead of dinner.
